    I purchase this item about a month ago, within two weeks the cord connecting it to the power source had crack and led to exposed wires. Which in turn led to it shorting out and almost starting a fire. I do not recommend this item! Even it the cord had not shorted out, the cord itself was wasn’t nearly as long as some of the other ones I’ve had. If you do have this cord made sure that the cord isn’t hidden. A unnoticed short or break could led to a fire!

    I was VERY skeptical about making this purchase based upon many negative reviews. I’ve had this product for about one month now and I haven’t had a single issue thus far. Im anxious to see how long before any signs of wear and tear, but honestly all is perfect now. Making this purchase saved me almost $60.

    I bought this to replace my Gateway AC adapter. There is some brand to brand discrepancy where the adapter plugs into the computer (i.e. the adapter is much smaller than the port), but other than that this works just fine.
