The battery functions as hoped. This is the only reason this product gets any stars whatsoever.
The battery DOES NOT resemble the original battery whatsoever. While it fits into the battery compartment, there is a just as much extra plastic that protrudes from the battery case, making it impossible for the laptop to sit flat. This makes it impossible to fit smoothly into a backpack, zipper-case, etc. My laptop now has a “hump”. I guess you could look on the bright side and say it sits up a little when you’re using it. But functionally, there are more minuses than pluses. I would generally prefer to use my old battery, which fits and looks normal at least, and just keep it plugged in constantly.

The battery is too big. It does not fit my HP Pavillion DV2000 completely. Half of the battery is sticking out. The laptop rises half inch higher on the front side. The laptop does not lie flat on the desk any more and looks funny.

Compré esta batería para mi laptop HP Pavillion serie DV6000. Simplemente retiré la batería vieja, conecte la nueva y listo. Seguí las instrucciones permitiendo una carga total, y trabajando con mi laptop hasta descargarla (7% restante), repetí el proceso un par de veces, la vida es de entre 6 y 7 horas dependiendo de las actividades que esté realizando con mi equipo. Me permite prácticamente trabajar todo un día de oficina sin necesidad de recargar o conectar el equipo al AC. Para mi es genial !

i have a dv6-2190us. the description(and even the physical battery itself!) states that this battery works with the dv2000 series. is 2190 not in the series of 2000? either this seller needs to clarify that it only works with certain 2000 series or eliminate this from the description. i needed this battery before i boarded a plane to canada, but now it looks like i’ll be stuck with a dead computer with the stock HP battery. i’m sending this item back later today.
